To celebrate the year of rabbit from the lunar new year tradition, celebrated by the 2 billion Asaian population even outside of Asia, we created a visual merchandising design for our stores’ windows in the Great China region, featuring the rabbit inspired products during the lunar new year.

Initiated from my team’s concept of hopping into the rabbit hole into a new year, with the meaning of “a new start and new beginning”, my teammates and I created a local window design with the warm colours gradient from the product colour and a softer version of the traditional Lunar New Year palette, decorated with graphic of traditional patterns, lunar new year flower from different Asia countries and confetti sprinkled within the layers, to create a bright and welcoming visuals.

In addition, I was also responsible for creating product category signages with the use of festive pun taglines associated with the product category, with illustrations that compliment the message of the signage.

From the window feedback, the window was well received, the rabbit illustrations were eye-catching and lively, the concept of diving into a rabbit hole was interesting, they successfully delivered the Lunar new year atmosphere, and effectively attracted visitors into the stores, especially younger visitors.
